How:
Allow Brand Store to read and apply the “Index” field from Category entities in inRiver PIM, or provide a UI option within Brand Store to manually reorder category sections.
Why:
Currently, Brand Store ignores the configured Category Index values, resulting in sections appearing in a random or unexpected order. This creates inconsistency between how categories are structured in PIM and how they appear to end users in the Brand Store.
For Who:
PIM administrators, content managers, and Brand Store users who rely on consistent and structured product presentation.
Impact:
Improves product detail page clarity and user experience, ensures accurate representation of product content structure, reduces confusion for internal teams, and avoids manual workarounds.
Additional context:
Support confirmed that Brand Store does not currently support sorting or reordering category sections. Only field sorting within a category is available. Sorting categories themselves requires a new functionality.
Hi! I’m happy to share that this feature is planned for Brand Store v2 in our upcoming release, currently scheduled for May 19 (please note this date may change).
We’ll confirm and share more details in the release notes once the feature is live.
Thanks for contributing to improving the Brand Store experience!
