Brand Store/Content Store - "Exclude Link Type" setting evolution

Today if we set in back end to show the Linked Type ,

In front, we see the Linked Type in the Search result. That means we can see different type of Entites even one type is selected by default.

It's not what we need.

I explain my purpose :

1 - I've got the entity "KIT" (assortment of products - but these products can't be sold separatly).

2 - In back end, I allowed to show the related products to the KIT.

3 - In front, the global result on type KIT shows the KIT and either the related products to the KIT => It's not what we want.

4 - We only want to see the related products as information when we open a Kit detail page.

Anyway it's the "normal" behavior today.

We need to see only the result of the Query configured on the node.

Tomorrow, we want to see the linked type not to be included in Result but only visible from an Entity Detail Page (on the parent page of the linked entity).

    Hi Pascale,

Thanks for sending us this product idea! As you mention this would change the default behavior of the store search result and how this has always worked in the past. I can understand your need, but I need to also get an understanding of how common it is from other customers, and if we should change the default behavior or introduce a way to configure this so that it's possible to choose if you only want related data that has been shared to show on the product details page and not in the search result.

We are working on the new Brand Store version and enhancements like this could be investigated once we have the new administration tool for setting up stores in place later this year. We will not do any enhancement in the Content Store version.

To other customers reading this, please vote and comment if you also think this is a good idea and it will help to get this prioritized.

    BR, Karin
