Who would benefit? |
All table-view users |
What impact would it make? |
It will be a lot easier to work with the selected data and be able to save the workspace. |
Currently when I search for an entity record, my search result often consists of multiple entity types e.g. Item, Product & Resource. When going into table view mode, by default all search results move into the table view. This results into the following error when trying to save your workspace: "Workspaces are not yet supported for multiple entity types". Filtering on entity type doesn't solve the issue. The only way to only get Product in your search result is through a query; quicksearch only if you're lucky.... Solution: take only the selected entity records into the tabel view. If nothing is selected, show all (like currently). That also saves you having to use the filter option to remove unwanted entities from your view |

Why is it needed? |
Easier handling of the data directly at the point of a quicksearch result. Being able to easily work with just records from 1 entity type from a quicksearch result would additionally also prevent these kind of user experiences. |
